Are you unambiguous?

Are you indifferent?

What I mean here is …

When something is unambiguous, it is so unique that no one but you can do it. It is immediately recognized as something that you have done. It has your stamp on it.

Ever seen a phone designed by Apple or a car designed by Mercedes?

Take a quick look at these unique brands and you will know who they are. They are boldly obscure.

And so can you.

But more often than not, aspiring entrepreneurs are more concerned with what other people are doing than focusing on what makes us unique. The trouble started from there.

In trying to model the success of others, we imitate.

Consider a movement like People of New York.

These incredibly original photos of everyday people are an inspiration to the social media community and as a result, copycats popped up everywhere.

If you do a search, you will find a “people” project for almost every major city in the world. However, none of these “mine” have the same degree of real success.

Here you can clearly see the value of “1 out of 1”.

If you want to succeed in today’s highly saturated, results-driven society, my good friend Srini Rao is a man you need to know.

Srini is the host of the hugely successful podcast The Unmistakable Creative – Interviews some of the world’s most influential thinkers, from Tim Ferris to Seth Godin, to explore where he makes extraordinary people unique.

And now he puts all his experiences from interviews with over 600 of the world’s brightest people into one incredible book:

See: Undoubtedly: Why only the best from the best.

The book is officially dropping off tomorrow and I would lie if I said I was not pumped to get mine.

(Okay, I’m lying a little. Srini sent me a copy a few weeks ago and I liked it. I ordered 6 or 7 more copies for family members. I always do this when I find a book that really hits me.) .)

If you’re in the boat that I was on a few years ago, you know how painful it can be to know that you have something to give the world … but don’t know the * what * thing. I’m willing to bet my left nuts that what you’re looking for is a way to stand out from the crowd. The way to be real. One way to be … I dare say it … sure.

Srini’s new book will teach you how to differentiate yourself from the pack and be so good that you will never have to compete again.
